A Generation of Beautiful Minds

A Generation of Beautiful Minds

I’ve been inspired by many women across the world while treasure hunting for Tatcha, and these special relationships have taught me that true beauty begins in the heart and mind. This belief is one of the core tenets of the Tatcha philosophy, and has also shaped our philanthropic model: each purchase supports girls’ education around the world in partnership with nonprofit Room to Read, nurturing a generation of beautiful minds.

We are honored to celebrate the funding of two million days of school.

Through the Room to Read Girls’ Education Program, two million days of school goes far beyond textbooks and classrooms; each day includes life skills coaching, mentorship, and the tools necessary to enable a brighter future.

Founded in 2000, the nonprofit helps girls in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Laos, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Vietnam make educated decisions about their futures. Studies have found that the Girls’ Education Program has inspired its 55,000+ alumnae in lasting ways:

  • Many graduates delay marriage until an older age
  • Lots pursue higher education after graduating from the program
  • Graduates change their way of thinking about themselves, their goals, marriage, and education

Educating girls can end the cycle of illiteracy within a single generation… and educated women can change the world.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for helping us to make this possible.

Founded in 2000, Room to Read believes that World Change Starts with Educated Children.® The organization has grown into a leading nonprofit with a reputation for outstanding efficacy, community involvement and results. To date, Room to Read has benefitted more than 11.5 million children and aims to reach 15 million children by 2020.
