Before my daughter Alea came along, two fur babies ruled my household: a pair of cats named Zoey and Cleo. It broke my heart when Cleo passed, but Zoey still has the run of the house. She and Alea are as close as can be – Alea often calls Zoey her sister – and I feel comforted on the road knowing that they have one another.

Many of us at TATCHA have animals near and dear to us, and we all recognize the importance of cruelty-free beauty product formulations. Several of you have reached out regarding our animal testing policy, and we have proudly informed you that we are a cruelty-free skincare company — we do not test on animals in any country, nor do our chemists, raw material suppliers, formulators or manufacturers.

As many of you know, our collection is currently available in select Barneys New York locations, Sephora stores and select Joyce Beauty Hong Kong locations. Hong Kong does not require the same animal testing as mainland China, so please do rest assured that we stand by our policy in every country.

I am also pleased to officially be a part of PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies program. This is a voluntary pledge that we have taken to clear animal testing from all stages of product development, certifying us as a cruelty-free organization. You may see a small rabbit appearing on our website, indicating that we are part of PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies database.

Always,

Vicky
