Live Present
Life is more than a race to the finish line

We don't find ourselves in chasing the future, or getting stuck in the past. Beauty is here and now, in the moment.

Why Live Present?

We believe in the power of presence to transform skin health. Through mindful rituals that care for your skin and your spirit, we seek to improve not only the look of skin, but overall well-being, too. Guided by our mission to care for people through their skin, we led an investigation into stress, the skin-mind connection, and the well-being challenges our clients face.

Here are our key findings:

69%
report experiencing burnout in the last 12 months*

70%
noticed changes in their skin for the worse in the same time period*

Stress levels are directly correlated with skin issues, highlighting the proven power of the skin-mind connection.

84%

wish they had more time to connect with themselves*

47%

view their skincare routine as ‘just another task’ in their day*

3 in 4

report being mentally absent half the day or more*

Despite the desire for more downtime to counteract stress, nearly half view their daily skincare routine as ‘just another task’ in their day while their skin concerns continue to increase.

The best kept secret in skincare

Our findings confirm our long held belief that the most important ingredient for healthy-looking skin isn't an acid or antioxidant—it’s mindfulness. In The Tatcha Report on Skincare and Self-Care, we show that along with positive effects on sleep, mood, and pain, mindfulness can improve skin health, no meditation required. Instead of adding to your list of to-dos, we encourage infusing mindfulness into your daily activities, like skincare, to elevate the routine to a ritual.
