Deep Brightening Serum is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clear Skin! I got a sample of this product a while back and fell in looovvee with it. Yes it is expensive but it is so worth it! I am very acne prone, suffer with some inflammation and redness, scars, etc,,. and this is the only product I found that made my skin clear and bright as day! It did not dry me out, and I only used this with the essence.

Does this brightening serum enhance protection against UV damage like a Vitamin C&E serum?

Asked by: ChaiPassion
Thank you for your question! The Radiant Deep Brightening Serum helps to keep new discoloration caused by sun damage from forming, as well as brightening the appearance of existing discoloration. For best results, use it in conjunction with our Pore Perfecting SPF 35 Sunscreen. We hope this helps!

Hi Tatcha! My question for you is: is it necessary, or even beneficial at all for someone to layer face serums? I’ve heard about this recently and was wondering if it would be a great thing for my skin to use both of tatcha serums or if it would be awaste

Asked by: AnnaMugisha96
That is a great question! We recommend using one serum treatment at a time. If you have any questions on which serums is best to use day/evening, please email to get in touch with our skincare specialist! Always, TATCHA

Why is alcohol used in this product and at such a high concentration (it’s listed as the 4th ingredient)? Also, I have melisma on both cheeks due to pregnancy and wonder if this would be effective at removing the dark spots?

Asked by: Ebruda
Hi Ebruda! For skin with discoloration or hyperpigmentation, we recommend beginning with the Polish Rice Enzyme Powder for your skin type and our Radiant Deep Brightening Serum. This dynamic duo increases cellular turnover and gently and effectively brightens the appearance of spots with licorice root and jujube extracts. The Deep Brightening Serum also helps keep future spots from forming. Always be sure to wear a good broad-spectrum sunscreen when trying to treat discoloration. Our Pore Perfecting SPF 35 Sunscreen will protect while it perfects, using Japanese Wild Rose to minimize the appearance of pores and texture. Most of the alcohol in our items are naturally occurring. There is naturally occurring alcohol in a lot of foods we eat, all fruit for example. There is about the same amount of naturally occurring alcohol in our formulas that there is in a banana. Any added alcohol used in our collection is ethanol which is derived from grains. Most items have a concentration of around 1%, far below the amount it would take to be detrimental to the skin. Finding efficacious, non-paraben, PEG and BG preservative systems that can safely guard against microbiotic growth issues at low concentrations is something that we focus a lot on. There are other preservative systems available but they often need to be used at higher concentration levels that then pose skin irritation risks. We do clinical testing on all of our products to ensure that they are non-irritating, non-sensitizing, non-comedogenic and dermatologist tested. Always, TATCHA
